Camp Policies and Rules:
Pick-up and Drop-Off Procedures:
Children need to arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to scheduled class time. For Mommy and Me class a parent or caregiver will be required to stay for the entirety of the class. For all other classes parent/guardian must park their vehicle and walk their child into the Camp and sign the child into the Camp. The check-in area is located at the We Rock the Spectrum - Oklahoma City front desk.
Late Pick-Up Policy:
There will be a late-fee assessed for children who are picked up 5 minutes after camp class. The late fee is $5.00 for each 5 minutes a campers parent/guardian is late to pick up camper. Repeated late pick-ups may result in the removal of the participant from the program, with no refund for prepaid programs.
Medical Needs/Allergies:
Okie Kids Camp is not permitted to administer medication to program participants. In the event of a medical emergency Okie Kids Camp will administer first aid, CPR, and rescue in the best interest of the child. Parents will be contacted if care is administered. Allergy medications may be administered if directed in writing by the child’s parent/guardian.
Special Diet Needs/Allergies:
Okie Kids Camp will be serving a snack during each group to facilitate oral sensory motor involvement. Parents and guardians are required to inform Okie Kids Camp in writing of any special diets, which may impact the child’s health, and diet.
Special Circumstances:
Parents and guardians are required to inform Okie Kids Camp in writing of any special circumstances which may affect the child’s ability to participate fully and within the guidelines of acceptable behavior, including, but not limited to, any serious behavioral problems or special circumstances regarding psychological, medical, or physical conditions. Once the notice is submitted, a conference will be scheduled with the parent/guardian to discuss the special circumstances and whether the Okie Kids Camp can accommodate the circumstances.
Dress Code:
Children should dress appropriately for the activities scheduled. Okie Kids Camp recommends shorts and a lightweight shirt or top, and some type of athletic shoe or sneaker in order to participate in recreational or athletic activities. Okie Kids Camp recommends a sweatshirt or jacket for indoor activities. Sandals, flip-flops, rubber “crocs”-style shoes, and other open-toed shoes are not recommended as acceptable attire for active recreation activities. Shirts should have a minimum of 1” wide shoulder straps. Clothing that displays drugs, alcohol, tobacco, offensive language, excessive bagginess, or is excessively revealing will not be permitted.
Personal Belongings:
Please put the child’s name on all articles of clothing, snack bags, bags, etc. Children should not bring toys, mobile phones, electronic devices, jewelry, money, or any possession of value with them to any of the programs, with the exception of a pool toy as more fully explained below. Children will be responsible for their belongings.
Camp Rules/Policies:
I understand and agree that I and my child must abide by the Okie Kids Camp policies and rules and the instructions of the Camp organizers, employees, staff, counselors, and volunteers at all times, and that my and/or my child’s failure to do so may result in immediate dismissal from the Camp. Some of these policies, rules, and instructions are written and some are at the sole discretion of the Camp organizers, employees, staff, counselors, and volunteers; however, it is understood that all policies, rules, and instructions are in place to ensure the overall safety of the Camp and each of its participants.
Furthermore, should my child fail to behave in an appropriate manner, intentionally harm another participant, exhibit signs of illness, or violate any Camp policy and rule, I shall retrieve my child promptly when contacted by Okie Kids Camp to do so or, if I am unable to do so, shall notify Okie Kids Camp of the person retrieving my child on my behalf. I acknowledge and agree that no part of the fees paid will be refunded to me should my child be dismissed from the Camp. I also understand and agree that no reduction or prorate in the payments and fees will be made for late arrivals, early departures, vacations, illness, or injury.
Registration Cancellation by Participant:
Unless specifically stated on registration materials, refunds will not be available to registrants who choose to cancel their registration or choose not to attend a camp. Due to the commitment for products and services that Okie Kids Camp must make, there are no refunds for camp registration fees.
Camp Cancellation by Okie Kids Camp:
Okie Kids Camp reserves the right to cancel a camp due to low enrollment or other circumstances that would make the event nonviable. If a camp is cancelled by Okie Kids Camp, registrants may be offered a refund. In unlikely situations where an event is cancelled due to weather, an emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, Okie Kids Camp may not be able to offer a refund.
Okie Kids Camp Liability Waiver and Customer Release of Liability, Indemnity Agreement, and Assumption of Risk.
Waivers and Informed Consent:
By signing this form, I, as parent/guardian, permit Okie Kids Camp to use pictures of my child as a program participant in promotional literature, videos, and the Okie Kids Camp website. I understand my child’s name nor personal information will not be published.
In order for my child to participate in Okie Kids Camp, I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages for personal injury, and property damages, or which may hereafter occur to me as a result of participation in said event. This release is intended to discharge in advance Okie Kids Camp, We Rock the Spectrum – Oklahoma City, its founders, camp leaders, employees, volunteers, and other camp participants from liability, even though that liability may arise out of perceived negligence on the part of the persons mentioned above. It is understood that some activities involve an element of risk or danger of accidents, and knowing those risks, I hereby assume those risks. It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assignees.
Parental Consent
I have carefully read the entirety of this waiver and release and agree to all its terms and conditions. I represent that I am the parent, legal guardian, or empowered representative of the minor child in the registration form with the authority to give this waiver and release, and I hereby agree that both my child and I should be bound hereby. I agree that the foregoing terms and conditions are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law, and any terms and conditions set forth herin found by a court to be void or unenforceable shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other terms and conditions. This waiver and release will inure to the benefit and will be binding upon my, my child's, Okie Kids Camp's respective, affiliates, successors, licensees, assigns, heirs, and representatives. I give consent for my child to participate in activities associated with Okie Kids Camp, and I execute the above liability release on their behalf.
Consent for Treatment
I hereby give my consent to have the above applicant treated by emergency medical personnel, a physician, or surgeon, in case of sudden illness or injury while participating in the above activity. It is understood that Okie Kids Camp will provide no medical insurance for such treatment, and that the cost thereof will be at my expense.
The Undersigned parent or natural guardian does hereby represent that he/she is, in fact, acting in such capacity, has consented to his/her child or ward's participation in Okie Kids Camp, and has agreed individually and on behalf of the child or ward, to the terms of the accident waiver and release of liability set forth above. The undersigned parent or guardian further agrees to save and hold harmless and indemnify each and all parties referred to above from all liability, loss, cost, claim, or damage whatsoever which may be imposed upon said parties because of any defect on lack of such capacity to so act and release said parties on behalf of the minor and the parents or legal guardians.
